Quantum Information encompasses a number of powerful new quantum technologies, including quantum computing and communication, quantum sensors, and quantum materials. Africa urgently needs to develop its expertise in order to be ready to capitalize on these coming developments.

QLA has a strong partnership with major international laboratories, universities and research centers where there is strong coordination and a continuous exchange of personnel between QLA and international partners. This helps build expertise and minimize the risks inherent in building expensive experimental prototypes. QLA’s scientific goal is to develop and utilize the power of quantum information science for the benefit of Africa and wider humanity.
